Valerie Jane Hanas Lindner
Clyde----Valerie Jane (Hanas) Lindner,75, died peacefully on December 6, 2024, Newark Wayne Community Hospital with her family by her side.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Baris Funeral Home 87 W. Genesee St. Clyde, NY. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 2 pm at the Clyde United Methodist Church with a reception to follow immediately at the Church.
Valerie was born on March 4, 1949, in Washington, DC to Gerald and Martha Munson. She graduated from Clyde-Savannah High School in 1966 and married Larry E. Lindner on March 4, 1967, in the Clyde United Methodist Church. Valerie worked several jobs before becoming the Village of Clyde water and sewer clerk, where she worked for over 20 years before retiring. Valerie was a very selfless mother, who enjoyed spending time with Larry, their kids and their grandchildren, baking and playing cards. Valerie volunteered with the Clyde Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary and Caring Friends Network. She also volunteered at the Methodist Church and taught Sunday School there. She was also instrumental in the creation of the “Clyde Christmas Lighting in The Park”.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Larry E. Lindner, their daughter Martha “Marty” Lindner, their son Larry (Annemarie) Lindner, Jr. and their daughter Teresa (Scott) Edwards, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also, her brothers Jerry (Linda) Munson, Charles (Lori Ann) Munson and her sister Marsha (Dennis) Pulcini. Valerie was pre-deceased by her daughter Ione Marie Lindner and her parents Gerald and Martha, whom she loved with all of her heart.
